English 13 Dear colleagues, Responsible, correct and ethical behavior is a basic prerequisite to the long-term success in business of the Ehrmann Group. Due to the increasing internationalization of our business activities, the board has decided for the first time to draw up an Ehrmann Code of Conduct. The Code of Conduct defines the principles for our daily activities and conduct that characterize our relationship to the company, our colleagues, to external business partners, to consumers and to the society and the environment. For Ehrmann as a foods producer, an excellent reputation, integrity and fairness is indispensable. Even individual departures from ethically faultless conduct can inflict considerable damage to the corporate group. For this reason each and every one of you is obliged to comply with this Code of Conduct. Please read it carefully, and contact your superior or the personnel department if you find yourself confronted with a situation that would cause you to doubt whether your possible actions conform to the rules of behavior defined in the Code of Conduct. Each and every one of us is responsible for Ehrmann’s good reputation.
