17 English Reliable records and reports The financial situation of the Ehrmann corporate group and its operating results must be recorded and shown in line with legal regulations, proper accounting princi- ples and internal guidelines. All entries must accurately reflect what is described in receipts and in related documents. Payments for the company may only be initiated if the purpose of the payments is completely discernible from the receipts. Misleading payment transactions are prohibited. Our reporting is consistently complete, accurate, prompt and pro-active, especially in case of deviations. 2.3 The relationships to external companies Dealings with business partners Honesty and reliability in dealing with customers and suppliers are the basis for establishing solid, long-term business relationships. We keep our promises, uphold our commitments and honor our contracts with our business partners. We view suppliers as our partners and strive to main- tain long-term supplier relationships. We take all poten- tial suppliers into consideration and our decisions are based on uniform and objective criteria such as quality, price, reliability, transparency, honesty and integrity. We treat our customers according to the principle of equality and do not grant any personal benefits, favors or privileges. It is forbidden to receive or offer any kind of illegal gra- tuities or similar performances. All employees shall refrain from corrupt or comparable unlawful practices and activities. We are committed to fair competition and recognize the provisions set forth under competition and cartel law. All employees must refrain from any and all illegal busi- ness practices.
