16 2.2 The relationship to the Ehrmann company We are Ehrmann We are committed to Ehrmann, its values, its vision and its strategies. We accept criticism as a constructive measure and reject unprofessional personal accusa- tions and attacks. We shall conduct ourselves in an exemplary manner and in such a way that the reputa- tion of Ehrmann, its owners and employees as well as of the brand and the products is enhanced. Conflicts of interest The collaboration between Ehrmann and its staff is based on trust. We recognize the trust and confidence placed in us and the transparency, integrity and honesty that we bring to all situations is proof of this. We avoid any type or even semblance of conflicts of interest that could negatively impact the company. Please inform your superior or the personnel department before transacting any business on behalf of Ehrmann with companies in which your family members or close associates are employed. Other working relationships While employed at Ehrmann, any activity for competing companies or for a company that has business relations with Ehrmann (suppliers, customers, etc.) is prohibited. Prior written consent from management or the person- nel department is always required before any kind of secondary or self-employment may be exercised. Protection of assets and trade secrets The property of Ehrmann may as a matter of principle only be used for business purposes. Private use of Ehrmann assets (e.g. company car for private use) shall only be permitted if it is explicitly permitted in writing in the employment contract or in other agreements / guidelines. Every Ehrmann employee is obligated to protect the assets entrusted to him or her against theft, damage or improper use. Trade secrets and other confidential data and informa- tion must be treated as confidential and protected against unauthorized third party access. Efficient handling of corporate resources At Ehrmann it is self-evident that corporate resources are to be used sparingly. Any time funds are used, verification is required whether said use of funds is in Ehrmann’s corporate interests. Data protection We protect the personal data of our staff, customers and other business associates against unauthorized third party access and only use said data in line with legal requirements and the requirements of the data protection law.
